Cities are getting more plaster sillyness

Lenny at DC Art News has two great articles up today. One on the statues around cities that artists supposedly made or something like making. I have always wondered why the cities don’t just commision real sculptures. But it will never happen in Richmond. We have one good sculpture down town by the railroad station that no one can leave from. Horid location, great piece, great idea for a train station, rediculous that trains don’t leave it but once a day. Sorry today’s writing is quite poor, due to the fact that this is my last day at my desk job. I will have to do my research during my working hours now. But posts will either be more, or better constructed in the future. Anyway, Good BYE Dean’s Office. I will miss the hours of surfing website, putting away papers, telling parents that their children have significant others and that is the reason they do not return their calls. I will miss packaging up highly paid faculty’s crap to ship to their other office in the middle east.
